According to the 2022 Marie Claire S/S (Spring/Summer) Trend Report, low-rise micro miniskirts, which had disappeared on the runway, resurfaced on the runway as a mega trend. The search volume for keywords related to Y2K fashion soared in the second half of this year. Y2K fashion is considered a unique sensibility among Generation Z and is drawing attention again. The term “Y2K” refers to a problem that occurred in the process of dealing with dates and times from December 31, 1999 to January 1, 2000, and is pointed out as a representative computer design error. Y stands for Year, and K (strictly lowercase k) is a value representing 1,000. It is called a millennium bug. Low-rise
Low-rise emerged in earnest at the Miu Miu 2022 S/S collection. These are commonly called pelvic shorts and are lower garments with a rather embarrassing crotch length and a slim silhouette. However, in 2022, these were reborn as more wearable items with a wide overall fit instead of a short crotch. In addition, Jennie’s Calvin Klein magazine shoot showcases the 2022 low-rise trend.
