Ajou University has a unique degree system. For there is no exact name regarding this system, People refer to this as system bachelor’s and master’s degree system for convenience. This system also entails simultaneously acquiring a bachelor’s and master’s degree.

Any applicant seeking a bachelor’s and master’s degree should have completed six or seven semesters. Furthermore, the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of the applicant should be over 3.0. Unlike the general graduate school, the applicant must receive the recommendation of their major’s Head professor or the general graduate school’s Dean or Head professor. The applicant can apply to any other major through this program. Despite the specific requirements needed to apply to this program, it offers unique advantages that are quite remarkable. First, the applicant can apply to the general graduate school without an admission test. Additionally, they are prioritized by the school when scholarships are disbursed to general graduate school students. Lastly, unlike other master’s students, these students have fewer master’s degree classes. If students want to apply to this program, they must submit their application documents, transcripts, and documents outlining the plan of their research activity.

There are many students who want to achieve a master’s degree, but cannot owing to reasons such as economic problems, time issues and other personal issues. The Ajou Globe (The AG) recommends this program to all those who wish to acquire a master’s degree as well as those who may find it difficult to acquire a master’s degree the conventional way.
