[On Campus] Book Curation: Enjoy Books of Various Themes

No. 154 / Oct 18, 2021

Book curation is underway in Ajou University. “Book curation” means selecting and displaying books on a specific topic. Through this, users can get help in choosing books. Book curations are conducted in many public libraries, bookstores, and university libraries.

The theme of the book curation is planned to be changed every two months, considering the book rental period. Ajou University’s book curation has so far displayed the themes of “Climate Change” and “Artificial Intelligence (AI)”. Topics are determined after review and consultation in consideration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), academic trends, timeliness, and interest. When selecting a book within a topic, refer to the current status of rentals, media recommendations, and bestseller rankings.

Book curations are available both online and offline. If you want to use it online, you must enter the Central Library website. Language settings can only be seen in Korean. You can find a book curation button at the bottom of the website. Alternatively, it can be used in the “Library Ontact Service” menu among the “Library access” menu. The language should be set to Korean to find the menu. If you want to use book curations offline, you have to go to Ajou University’s central library. Book curations are on display at the “newly published material room” on the first floor. The book can be loaned from Bookshelf’s book curation. If you are thinking about which book to read, The Ajou Globe (The AG) recommends that you use book curation. If you have any questions about book curation, please refer to the contact information.
