[On Campus] Columns from Ajou University Professors

No. 156 / Mar 7, 2022

The Ajou University website posts previews and links to the columns of its professors. Students can read them in more detail by accessing the link https://www.ajou.ac.kr/kr/ajou/column.do or by accessing the official Ajou University Website, clicking “Ajou Square”, going to the “Media Center” menu, and clicking the “Ajou In Column” bulletin board. When the official language of the website is set to “English” or “Chinese”, it is difficult to find this bulletin board. The Ajou Globe (The AG) recommends that you set the official language for the website as “Korean” and use the Chrome Google Translate system.

In this article, The AG will briefly introduce the professors and their columns. First, we introduce Professor Kim Kyung-il of the Department of Psychology. His research field is cognitive psychology. His posted columns include Warning If You Want Short-Term Concentration, and Advice If You Want Long-Term Results. This column’s link was accessed by 487 people. Next, is honorary professor Cho Young-ho in the Graduate School of Business. His posted columns include Three Secrets to Enhancing Team Power, accessed by 1,230 people, where students can catch a glimpse of his research field, organizational culture, and leadership. In addition to psychology and business administration, there are also columns related to engineering. Additional columns include those by professor Park Chun-sik of the Department of Cybersecurity whose research field includes password and protocols. His column Spreading Government-Led DIDs (Decentralized Identifiers) Speeding Up the Digital Trust Society was accessed by 625 people.

As such, students can easily access the columns of professors on the school website. In addition to studying books, why not access professors’ expertise through their columns?
