A new donation kiosk was recently installed at Yeonam Hall on January 2, providing a convenient platform for anyone to donate and contribute to emergency livelihood support for Ajou University students experiencing difficulties. Through the kiosk, students and visitors can easily donate via card payment, with options to give 10,000 won, 30,000 won, 50,000 won, and 100,000 won. Ajou University plans to use the funds collected through the kiosk in units of 1 million won to provide Emergency Living Support Scholarships for students in need.
The installation of the donation kiosk is part of Ajou University’s efforts to expand and promote a culture of giving and sharing. As part of this scheme, Ajou university plans to install donation kiosks in all buildings on campus, including Yulgok Hall and the Central Library. President Choi Ki-joo expressed the school’s commitment to supporting students in unexpected difficulties and spreading the culture of sharing through various programs and activities in the future.
Technology is increasingly used to support charitable giving and promote social responsibility, with many universities such as Yonsei University and Chung-Ang University adopting donation kiosks. By promoting a culture of giving and sharing, Ajou University is taking a proactive approach towards creating a more caring and supportive community. The Ajou Globe (The AG) hopes that this new donation kiosk at Yeonam Hall will continue the steady history of giving and sharing.
